About Devi Designs

My name is Gita Devi, web mistress and founder of Devi Designs.  I've worked in the Corporate world as a technical writer, web architect, designer and human factors analyst, project manager, market researcher, etc., etc., etc....  If you want to know all about me, technically, you can read my resume: (MS Word)

Devi Designs has the resources to create web sites from the simple to the complex.  We have decades of experience among us.  We spend the time to learn about your business and then design a web site that reflects that business.

Here's some info on me, personally:

Gita and friend, at Poplar Springs Animal SanctuaryThat's me, on the right, in the photo.  I visited with the Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary in July, 2001 and had my photo taken with several of their 4-legged residents.

I managed the web site for the Pat Brody Shelter for Cats for the past 12 years (volunteer for 10 years) and saw adoption rates, online donations and monthly sponsorships increase because of the web site.  I did the same thing for the Second Chance Fund for Animal Welfare until June 2004 as their Director of Internet Development and Director of Adoptions and Manager of a small cat adoption center.

I also redesigned and maintain the web site for The Humane Society of Schuyler County and am on their Board of Directors.

I worked at Farm Sanctuary, as the National Walk for Farm Animals Coordinator, volunteer coordinator, tour guide and gardener.  I continue to work there on a part-time seasonal basis.

In 2008 I opened the Ginger Cat Bed & Breakfast  - totally vegan, totally fantastic, in the heart of the NY Finger Lakes region.  It won Favorite Veg B&B in the VegNews Magazine 2009 Veggie Awards!  Please come for a visit and enjoy the amazing Finger Lakes area of our country.

Because of my personal beliefs and interest in animal welfare, I pride myself on doing the best job I can to help further the cause of spay/neuter and responsible companion animal guardianship.   This comes about through my volunteerism, cat rescue efforts and networking with other animal groups and individuals.  I also believe that my vegan lifestyle contributes to fewer animals killed for consumption and sets an example for others that eating meat isn't necessary to lead a healthy, happy life.

I look forward to working with you.

Gita
